Meliora EPGP System
For all 25-man raids we will be using EPGP as our loot system. Loot priority will be done in real time and based on main spec first as we progress on any given raid.

In short, the more effort you put in, the more gear you receive. This makes the gear you receive proportional to the effort you put in. EPGP is based on this simple principle, but there are some complexities that need to be dealt with which will be covered below.

What is EPGP?
EPGP is based on the concept of Effort Points and Gear Points. Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards the common guild goals. Gear Points quantify what each member gets back in return. Loot priority is the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP/GP.

How Effort Points will be Awarded:
We will be awarding points per 15 minutes spent in the raid, beginning with first pull and ending when the raid leader ends the raid. Kill points will be doubled for guild first kills.

Ulduar 25

15 points per 15 minutes

50 Points Per Boss

Progression Boss

Double Points awarded for a progression boss kill

Multiple Progression Bosses in a single raid night

In the event of multiple progression kills in one night, points awarded will be multplied an additional time for each progression kill beyond the first for the evening.

Example

1 Progression Boss in a single raid is double points

2 Progression Bosses in a single raid is triple points

3 Progression Bosses in a single raid is quadruple points

And so on.

Teir 7 Content

We no longer run Tier 7 on main raiding nights, but do try to organize events for T7. In the event of a teir 7 raid, we do not offer points and loot is open rolls. Guardians and Officers are allowed to put items on a wish list that they never had the opportunity to get before 3.1, rolls will be between those parties. Points are no longer awrded for T7 (Naxx, Malygos, OS etc.)

Gear Points
For your convenience, here is the formula for calculating GP.
GP = 0.483 x (2^((ilvl/26) + (rarity - 4))) x slot mod

Item Quality:
•   Uncommon (Green):  2
•   Rare (Blue):  3
•   Epic (Purple):  4
•   Legendary (Orange):  5

Slot Modifiers:
•   2H Weapon:  2
•   1H Weapon, Shield, Ranged Weapon:  1.5
•   Head, Chest, Legs, 2H weapon (off-hand for TG warriors):  1
•   Shoulder, Hands, Waist, Feet, Trinket:  0.75
•   Wrist, Neck, Back, Finger, Off-hand, Shield, Wand:  0.5

Needing/Greeding on items

When expressing interest in an item, be mindful of how well it will serve your class and spec. It is everyone's responsibility, including officers, to make good judgement when gearing the raid. Officers reserve the right to intervene at anytime if someone with high PR is rolling for an item that is not completely useful to their class and spec, the item will then be passed along to another who will make full use of it. Read item tooltips carefully, if you are unsure about an item fitting your class, ask the advice of officers and others in the guild.

Greed/Offspec Items
Items that are greeded/offspec will be handed out at a cost of 25%

Main Hand/Off Hand Items
Any item that says "Main-Hand" or "One-Handed" will be charged full price. Items that say "Off-Hand" will be charged Off Hand price. No exceptions.

Decay
In order to award recent effort more than past effort, which in effect avoids PR hoarding for veterans and enables new coming and dedicated members of a guild to be awarded properly, EPGP supports a decay mechanism. Decay simply removes a chunk of EP and GP from the totals, effectively leaving PR unchanged. Our decay will be 7% applied after each 25 man raid.

Here is an example using a decay of 10% applied each week, for each 7 days that pass your effort's rewards get diminished by 10%. The effort you put 10 weeks ago will only be worth 34.8% of what it did when you received it ((1-0.1) 10 ).

What You Should Have
There are 2 main mods we use:
•   EPGP Lootmaster (Required): a valuable tool that allows transparency when handing out loot. It helps the raid leader hand out loot more efficiently; thus, saving raid time for killing bosses and progression

•   EPGP DKP Reloaded (Requiredl): an add-on that is easy to configure, allows loot distribution to be open and visible to all, streamlines the options for configuration, and blends in with default UI. Once you install the add-on, you can bring up the standings UI by typing: /epgp. You can also bind this to a key, using blizzards key binding options. Hint: If you have nothing setup for the key J it will be automatically bound when you install the add-on. Please note that this add-on is generally meant for officers.

EP Penalties
- 40 EP for abruptly leaving a raid before it is over
- 20 EP for not having DBM installed
- 20 EP for not having OMEN installed
- 20 EP for not having EPGP Lootmaster installed
- 10 EP for pulling without the raid leaders consent
- 10 EP for not keeping vent clear with unnecessary comments during an encounter

EP Commendations
+ 40 EP = Stepping out of a raid to advance progression
+ 20 EP = Respeccing to the raids needs
100% of Raid EP = Being on standby in the guild for the duration of the raid
